Every morning this week, Dark Moon Rocks has been broadcasting from the edge of the canal like a little lighthouse in the fog – live shows, new hypnotic story‑poems, the first proper OBS streams, and a radio station slowly growing its own strange, steady heartbeat beneath the headlines.

Under the surface I’ve also been quietly building: a new Dark Moon Rocks broadcast to carry the canal‑side magic into your headphones, a fresh hypnotic story to ease frazzled nervous systems, and four brand‑new spell‑songs that weave trance, shadow and goddess‑fire into something you can actually rest inside.

Adventures With OBS to YouTube

This week I finally wrestled OBS into talking nicely to YouTube. I did the “proper” thing first, obviously – stream keys, settings, tutorials, three different tabs open telling me which magic button to press. And then, the minute I went live, the microphone started feeding back in horrible echoing loops, like my own voice haunting me from thirty seconds in the past.

I poked every setting, muted and unmuted things like a raccoon in a bin, and in the end the fix was pure Dark Moon logic: turn the bloody mic in OBS off and let the browser handle it. One click, loops gone, peace restored – and suddenly the stream sounded clean, as if I’d known what I was doing all along.

Many Moons….

And the numbers are… quietly encouraging. I’m not talking viral fireworks, but for a tiny canal‑boat radio station to have 30‑odd humans sitting with a full morning show on YouTube already feels like proof of life – a small, steady circle finding the signal in the noise.
